Beautiful day, right? First time seeing/feeling the sun in over 10 years. Honestly. I arrived here just days ago from Pelican Bay SHU (solitary confinement). Are you familiar with? True hellhole… To sum it up: you're locked up in a windowless cell 23 hours a day every day, extreme isolation and sensory deprivation, 0 physical human contact, 0 phone calls, 0 contact visits.
Imagine 10 1/2 years without ever being able to hug upir loved ones or so much as call them. Psychological torture indeed. My family's love and support was my strength through it all, and continues to be.
The sun felt so good on my skin. My eyes stung and teared like when you chop onion, but I enjoyed every bit of it. Today marks a new and better chapter in my life. So yes, it is a beautiful day!
I called home already, my family are all so happy. Can't wait to hug them at visiting and take pics.
Bit about me: age 32. Mexican-Salvadorian. Born in Los Angeles, California. Single, bilingual, love children but have none. 6 ft. Tall with a heart of gold. Incarcerated since age 17 expected home in 9 more years pursvant to new sentencing law S.B.-260.
I come to you with an open mind, an open heart and all sincerity seeking your friendship. Be it through mail, phone, visitation or all of the above. Let's make the best of it and enjoy getting to know each other. Know should we find something more than friendship, I'm all for it, it would be a dream come true.
Well, thank you for sharing in my joy. Hope to hear from you soon. Come as you are. I'll be waiting. :) Till then be safe and remember to always smile no matter what the weather.
