Hey, what's up! Thanx 4 stopping by real quick. Well, my lil "tour of duty" through the California Prison System began at the ripe age of 18. Now 25, I find myself hundreds of miles away from my friends and family in San Diego, and I'm hoping to make some cool female acquaintances who might be down for a road trip to come kick it. Right now I'm collecting dust at a little dive called Corcoran with the supposed worst of society, who surprisingly, really aren't the kind of rotten dregs you'd expect. I won't be so naive as to say they're all good people, but I will say that I'm bummed in a big way about the ease with which we just throw people away. I've met way too many people whose minds hadn't even fully developed yet that were essentially told they were
garbage
all the way through and would spend their entire adult lives in prison. In that
regard I am one of the lucky ones. I've got a date. Something I don't take for
granted. A glimpse into my cell on any given day would show you a guy hard at
work pursuing a Bachelor Degree. That would of course be my cellie-good dude.
Right next to him would be a handsome gentleman in sweats and a wife beater
jamming out to some Pennywise on the headphones:) No, I'm shooting for the
degree. I'm pretty much a straight book nerd in the cell. I do some oil
painting once in a while, but I'm no J.M.W. Turner or anything. When I'm
outside, I'm usually running the track or playing basketball. Anyway, don't be
shy to say "What's up". It could be the start of a really cool
