Jay (nickname) was wrongfully convicted of the crime his then-girlfriend committed. When he turned down a plea deal because it was contingent on testimony against her, she jumped at the chance to drag him in with her because it meant she'd get something less than life. These are the consequences of him following the ''street code''.

Jay is a great conversationalist and very intelligent but has a colorful and troubled past due to prior addictions, which he's been free of for almost 10 years now. His case is under review in the Appellate court, hoping to reduce it to accessory after the fact. He's currently earning his Law Clerk certification and mentoring to at-risk teens 2x a month. Upon release he plans to return to work in Automotive Customs and keep volunteering with troubled teens to help them avoid his same mistakes.
