Hello friends, my name is Jose Montanez.  I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  I am 38 years old (D.O.B. 9/2/82) and I am Puerto Rican.  I DO NOT speak Spanish fluently.  I am in prison doing a life sentence for murder, robbery, burglary and possession of an instrument of crime.  That is what I am charged with and am doing this time for, but I DID NOT do this crime and can - for the most part - prove my innocence through the Commonwealth’s own evidence.  For the past ten years, that is what I have been trying to do.  My inexperience, and the fact that the system is so corrupt, have been causing me to keep running into wall after wall.  Add that to the fact that those who claimed to love me when I was free abandoned me not long after I was arrested and charged despite them knowing that I would never do anything like this.

Please know that I am not looking for any money or any type of games.  I am a good-hearted genuine person looking for a friend who can understand what I am going through and actually wants to help me gain my freedom back.
