First and foremost I'd like to welcome and thank you for deciding to share a few moments of your time with me.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gabriel Castellanos and I am reaching out in the hopes of being blessed with your friendship through correspondence.

I am looking forward to growing and building a connection with someone whose life I could possibly enrich by bringing a true and sincere friend. I would love to share the great qualities I've learned and have been blessed with over the years.

I truly don't consider myself a shallow or judgemental person. As a matter of fact, I don't mind the looks or physical features of someone, their financial status, or the like... I care more about the person's heart, their personality, and the way they carry themself.

Another thing about myself is that I am definitely remorseful of my past and am learning every day how to grow myself and become stronger because of it. I am not ashamed of it, as it has molded me into the man I am today. I am honest with myself as well as with others as to what my life used to be.

I am serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole for the crime of carjacking and for a decision I made in my childhood, to join a gang and partake in other criminal activity. However, today I am able to sincerely thank God for having saved me from that lifestyle, as not many of my friends are still alive from that past life for this very reason.

Today I have a newfound appreciation of life and am enthusiastic for what every day brings with a grateful heart.
