Dear potential pen pal,

My name is Don. I am doing life and have been in prison for 21 years. I accept full responsibility for my crime, and am deeply sorry for my actions. I strive everyday to be a better person. I am looking for a pen pal to tell me about themselves and their lives and the outside world. I am 47 years old, 5ft. 11in. 220 lbs with red hair and green eyes. I enjoy rock music of all kinds and read fiction of all kinds, but mostly fantasy and horror. I paint almost daily. You can see some of my work on this ad. As with everyone the past year-and-a-half has been especially difficult to do to covid-19. We have been locked down pretty much the entire time. It's only been recently that we were allowed out of our cells for 3 hours and 45 minutes a day. I use painting as my way to cope with the isolation and for the loss of my mother due to cancer on 12-28-20. I watch the news and read about how people are dealing with the new world, but other than my father and brother I do not have much personal connection to the outside world. I hope to hear from someone who wishes to open up about themselves, and how they are coping with their daily lives.

We actually have a couple of ways for you to contact me. You can send a letter that I receive a copy of while they dispose of the original, which takes 7 to 10 days or you can set up an email account where you can send me emails that I received within a day. Usually the same day. It's a simple app on Google Play or Google Chrome called Connect Network GTL. Of course it's up to you which way you prefer and if in the future you would like to set up a video visit.

I'm not looking for handouts of any kind. I don't wish to play games with your emotions or to lie to you.
