Hello,
This is my brother whose name is Jerome. He doesn’t know that I am showing pictures of him when he was a kid. These are my favorite photos. In one he is about 6 years old and the other he is about 12 years old. In the other pictures, he is 35 or 36 years old. A lot has changed about him except for his beautiful smile.
Let me tell you a little about him. He and I were both born in Elizabethtown (E-town), Kentucky. If you have never heard of this town, check out the movie called “Elizabethtown”. He was born in 1971, which makes him 1½ years younger than I am. Later, my family moved to Indiana for work, but we would frequently go to Kentucky to visit our family. That is where most of our family still lives. Jerome still has the blood and soul of a
country
boy. He loves country music, and likes to play the guitar and write
songs.We weren’t that close as kids. We had the typical brother and sister type relationship – we fought all the time. However, as you get older, you look back on those times and laugh. It is strange that since he has been incarcerated, we are closer now than we have ever been. Also, I have realized (and he does too) that friends are the most precious things life has to offer and are much more valuable than material processions.
He has a big heart and I miss him a lot. He tells me time goes by
slowly
in there. I think if he were to receive a few letters, it would help pass time.
Plus, I think he may meet a few kind people. If you feel the same, please write
