My name is Nelson, my friends and associates call me Mr. Cool. When you get to know me you will definitely understand why this is my nickname.

I grew up in Harlem, New York. My parents were never married but I had a great understanding on parenthood. My mother is a devoted Christian and believes strongly in Jesus. My father was and still is a very popular man in Harlem.

At my age of 37 I have fond memories of my parents. My mother raised me to always put my trust in Jesus. My father raised me to be the boss, you have to pay the cost!

I have paid that cost many times. In high school I was mega popular. I realized then that I did not want to be a famous person but a very important person.

I have 2 sons who I love dearly. One is a high school football star and the other is an aspiring actor.

Since my incarceration I have been programming and so far I have successfully completed commitment to change, anger management, stress management, man of influence, parenting class, healthy marriage and relationship 1 and 2, and 7 habits of highly effective people.

I'm interested in meeting someone with a positive and optimistic way of thinking. Resilience-the ability to recover from or adjust easily to change or misfortune! This is a key attribute for a successful life! Life is what you make it, so live in love on your pursuit of happiness.
