Have you heard the prisoners saying, "I'm changed. No, really I am!" Given time, however, most return to waywardness-"change" being only cosmetic. Feering this same self-deception, I've constantly agonized over the question: What more can I do to ensure a change in my life? One answer: create a support team comprised of individuals who've lived successfully and are willing to honestly hold me accountable. You can be the difference in the life of one.
I regret the chances I've blown, the bridges I've burned, and the pain I've caused. The easy selfish choices I've made inevitably led to the hard consequences I face today-prison. Still, I seek another chance to get it right, yet I cannot walk this road toward change alone. Time in Prison Spent Wisely
I'm in a reentry program where I'm studying character development, authentic manhood, and competent leadership (Toastmasters), along with some business courses. Additionally, I'm pursuing a vocational trade in Multimedia/video production. My life goals include graduating from film school, publishing a novel, and eventually owning my own business. I read anything meaningful I can get my hands on. Though I feel as if my efforts are never enough, I'm doing what I can with what I have. My best years are surely ahead. Make a difference.
