Hi
My name is Malik. I'm currently serving time in the Virginia Department of Corrections for distributing cocaine. My release date is Sept. 2012 which will change with good time earned. I've been locked up 5 yrs. prior to me coming to the Virginia Department of corrections I served 5 yrs. in Federal prison for cocaine possession. during my time in prison I've achieved my G.E.D., participated in many classes, took a few college courses, and just tried to better myself. Sometimes it gets hard but I'm trying to leave prison a much better person then when I arrived. I had a girlfriend who I love dearly but sometimes people aren't strong enough to deal with my situation even if they love you which I
respect
b/c it's not easy. Anyway I've lost a lot of people who were dear to my heart
while in prison including my Mom, and it has left me lonely, and I'm just
looking for someone out there who I can just befriend with no commitment,
ulterior motives or games. Regardless of the perception people have on people
in prison there's still some good people in prison, just like there's some bad
people in prison, but that's not just in prison the same applies to society.
During my free time I read a lot of novels, mostly mystery/romance. My favorite
authors are Stuart Wood, Daniel Steel, James Patterson, just to name a few. I'm
also a huge sports fan. NY Knicks, NY Giants, # 8 Nascar. I'm originally from
Queens, NY, but I've been living in Hampton, VA. for the past 12 yrs. I'm 29
yrs. old and was born Aug. 20 1977. There's so much more I have to say but I'll
