I must admit I've contemplated
a million and one times on wether or not I should put myself on Prison Pen
Pals, honestly at first I was a little nervous thinking "who would want to
correspond with someone locked up?"After I put my own self doubts aside, I figured what's the worst that can happen.
Incredibly it took me getting locked up and soon after my little
brother passing away for me to understand that this isn't our life we're just
passing through. With that said, please know I take 110% fault for my
actions.So here I go, my name is Shawn Douglass. I'm 28 years old and as you can see my life has been put on hold because of my own self centered actions. I'm five foot nine, 195 lbs. I take pride in my body, lifting weights and reading keeps me sane. I love art, poetry, hip hop music and dancing. I love to laugh and hate what if's. Family and friends I hold close.
Lately I find myself thinking of the past, but an old man told me it's no longer about the past, but what you do in the present. So with that, everyday is a battle within myself to do right and to succeed and believe me, I will.
