and about "175" pounds. I have long, brown hair, now down to the middle of my
back, and my goatee isn't quite as long. (The picture's a couple of years old.)
I like to write poetry when I get a really good idea, and I'm hoping to find
someone to share some of them with, maybe have some interesting "Paper
Conversations."I like all kinds of music, but prefer Rock, and Country. I also enjoy making people laugh, as often as I can, "Hence the picture." If you could use a friend to talk to, or would like to share an idea for poetry.......
"In her words"
Boxes in the attic, there for years, remain unopened,
until the day I felt that I was ready.
Brushing away the dust, from the one that just said "Pictures,"
the hands that were usually still, became unsteady.
When I opened up the lid, I saw my Grandmas' smiling face,
Looking down upon a child she held, my Mother.
A love that was repeated, as each photograph appeared,
I would gently lay it down, and choose another.
I noticed there was one, of my Grandma in her bed,
with a little baby cradled to her breast.
Written at the bottom, were some words, now almost faded,
that left a heartache burning in my chest.
The missive that she wrote, brought back some memories of the times,
when my Mother used to tuck me into bed.
My eyes now filled with tears, as I listened to the sound,
her voice again spoke to me as I read.
