Like a puppy at the pound, I am waiting for someone to pick me up.

I am Canadian geologist that looks forward to returning to Canada when I get out. I've worked in the groundwater and oil and gas sectors in Canada and the USA for 25 years. I love listening to music, especially classic rock and blues, and enjoy cycling, hiking, and gardening.

In prison I stay busy writing fiction (not yet published, but hopeful), reading (mostly sci-fi, some history, and general fiction), learning new skills, and getting fit. I am also developing a geology class to teach to fellow inmates.
I am looking for a woman, preferably Canadian, to be a pen pal and friend. I have wonderful friends that support me in many ways, but I miss a woman's perspective. You should be close to my age (+/-) and be an active optimistic person. You should be interested in the world at large and curious about things you don't understand.
