I am a spiritual being that believes the universe speaks to us if we are willing to listen. And I am a very curious person. I have to see what comes of this. So here I am.

I am fifty-one years old. I have been lost most of my life. I am in prison for compliance to 2nd degree murder. My involvement in the murder has been very traumatic and I am truly remorseful for my actions. It makes me feel like a monster to say it took these monstrous actions to see the space I was in: selfish, hateful and very angry.

I have been in prison for fourteen years. Seven years ago I signed up for a Restorative Justice Education Program by Insight Prison Project. The program made me look at myself in a way I never had before and see the harm my actions can have. With the tools of restorative justice practices, I have done a lot of self-work. I searched my heart and mind deeply and started to discover my authentic self and my role in life.

I am furthering the work on myself and building my self-worth, integrity, responsibility, accountability, respect and healthy relationships. I have been empowered to begin repairing the damage I have done, preparing myself for reintegration and to be in service to others. I am looking to share my journey with someone who is also on the path to knowing themselves better and being in service to others.
