A picture is worth a thousand words, so here's one that says a lot about me. The music you hear on this page is also me playing the cello, and posting these together will probable give you a better feeling for who I am than anything I can write or say. Playing and performing is what I love to do, and the cello has become part of who I am. It's hard to explain, but in prison everyone seems to want to "make a name for themselves." In a nutshell, it's my way of expressing my passion and being known for something good. I usually perform at out graduations, and it even feels like being a rock-star for a day! LOL! But seriously, in here positive recognition is rare, and it feels really good when you succeed in something you love to do.

Music gives me a real feeling of purpose and hope, and since time is our most precious gift, I try to use it well while I'm here. I have a Bachelor's degree in computer science and I've also graduated a college Paralegal program that could turn into a good job when I get out. I taught myself to invest because I sold most of my stuff when I fell. And learning to speak Russian has been a rewarding hobby for me too. I love staying active in positive ways: running, doing yoga, working out, etc. I take care of myself. I'm sober and I don't drink, smoke, or use drugs.

You see, who I am is more than just the sum of my mistakes. But since everyone eventually asks "what are you in for", I'll tell you the truth that I did something dumb when I was young. When I was in college, I met a girl who had an ad on an online dating site: She was in high school and I was nineteen. Our relationship was consensual, but she was legally "underage". I know you might be feeling a certain kind of way about me for it, but I'm sharing the truth with you because I'm honest and not full of B.S.

So here I am looking for someone who's open minded and wants to write. Someone who believes in redemption, forgiveness, and a second chance.
