“You've Got Mail”

Oh what a joy it would be to hear that again. As a widower, it's been forever since I received any. I've come to realize my letters and poetry. . . Yes, poetry, I'm a bit of a romantic, is therapeutic for me.

A bit about me; I'm a retired addict, with over a decade clean. Thank God I'm done with that! Today I'm quiet, fun-loving and adventurous. I enjoy putzing around the yard and garage, RVing and old cars. At This point in my life I crave quiet moments with someone I can relate to and relax with. I'm very good at providing, protecting and pleasing (despite a bit of a “dad bod). My hair turned gray, but thank God it didn't turn loose! HAHA 😀.

I know these are not the best photos, but I'm told I'm still reasonably good looking.

Also, not trying to brag, (okay, maybe a little) I own and operate a very successful small business and once I'm released I plan to restart. I can run my business from anywhere in the state or even across the country. Sorry, due to site rules, I'm prohibited from naming my business. But if you want to know more, you'll have to write.

With 2 years left, I'm looking for a woman to write to, to be a friend, to laugh with and bounce ideas off. And who knows, maybe we'll both find what we've been looking for.

I've been waiting for Deliverance
Waiting so very long
Your letter is my key to Freedom
And a note is like a song

Your song it takes me out of this place
And fills my heart with joy
Just like a kid on Christmas
Maybe I'll get to unwrap a new toy

I feel like I'm Delivered
Out of this place so cold
Into the light of a new day
And perhaps find someone to hold

Yes a letter is like Deliverance
The chains they fall away
And if only for a moment
I'll feel so free today
