It's only right that I start this letter off by introducing myself and in doing so, I just wanted to send a couple of words your way to let you know a little bit about me and who I am. In saying that, this is just a little hammer and a chisel to break the ice.
I am not going to write an autobiography or a memoir but along with this brief summary are a few photographs so you can get a look at the author but just like a book, I can't start out by telling you the plot and climax because that takes time plus it would ruin the story but what I am going to do, hypothetically speaking, is let you take a peek at the back of the book and its synopsis so you can see if it's something you're interested in and would like to explore to a further extent.
With that said, my name is James but all my family and friends call me Tookie. I'm 27, 5'10" and 198 lbs., With an athletic muscular build, depending on the seasons my complexion ranges from a light brown to an almost pecan tan hue because I'm mixed with African-American and Native American Indian. I have long hair that comes down to the middle of my chest that I keep neatly braided.
My heart and passion has to definitely be music. As of now, my current hobbies consist of exercising, playing basketball, reading and writing. I spent a lot of my spare time writing songs, poetry and I'm currently working on my fifth novel.
Before incarceration I was in college for business administration as well as recording arts and engineering. Occupation wise I did solar panel construction along with running an in-home recording studio. While incarcerated I have acquired the skills to be a barber and I have earned certificates in the traits of commercial cleaning, HVAC, computer language and computer repair.
Once released I plan on following my ambitions and dreams in music as well as starting my own book publishing company. I am using my time wisely to gain knowledge striving for my goals and dreams along with becoming a better man in general by using whatever opportunities that are available to me.
Along this long journey I've learned the hard way that some of my friends were not my true friends and abandoned me when I needed them most.
I'm looking for someone I can build a strong bond, foundation, and friendship with as well as possibly learn to love and care for. Someone who can help me and be here for me in these lonely times when friends that I trusted couldn't.
There's so much more to tell and boy do I have a story to tell but enough about me for now, I gotta save something for our future letters! I want to know about you, who you are, what you like and all the beautiful things that make you you! I want to establish a friendship that feels like we already know each other for years. I enjoyed this and can't wait to learn as much as you're willing to teach me about you.
In life I've learned not to judge a book by its cover because you might miss out on a wonderful experience. Everything happens for a reason and blessings some in all different forms, shapes, and sizes as well as disguises. So I look forward to reading your stories every word, sentence and paragraph as I explore every page. I'm open to whatever the future holds. Life has many chapters and who knows, we might just be able to co-author a bestseller together but in the meantime and in between time, I can't wait to hear from you!
A friendship awaits,
