Hi my name is John, but
everyone calls me Jay. I'm from a small, laid-back little resort town nestled
in the blue ridge mountains of NC near Asheville. I am fortunate in that most
of the stuff I enjoy is available nearby, mt. biking, whitewater, skiing, &
and backpacking.I'm currently assigned to a tiny minimum custody center near Charlotte. I'm in my last of three semesters of electrical contracting school, after which I hope to find a job on work release (with the economy like it is right now, I'm willing to take most anything).
In case you're wondering, I'm serving time for felony larceny (laptop) & a couple misdemeanor drug charges. My minimum for release year after next.
I am single w/no kids... but I do have two babies in patiently waiting on me-my dog, Mia and a cat, Meoke. I talked to them on the phone occasionally, as pathetic as that may sound.
Some of the things I miss most are the sound of jingling dog collars when I slammed the car door, the smell of the Spruce trees in my yard, and the sight of the fog rising off the river across from me. The seemingly insignificant, small stuff.
I'm not looking for anything more than someone who may want to write and talk about whatever. I'm in the process of changing several aspects of my life, and new associations are certainly part of that equation.
